Unfortunately, my chest is still a little more pregnant then by tummy because to this day I still can't see my belly over the neighbors. Hopefully that will change soon.
We were able to go to the doctor the other day for the first time since being in Williamsburg. We had a great experience. The staff was very friendly and efficient. They gave me a little book on what to expect during the pregnancy (a little late, but it's the thought that counts... right)

Here are some things that I could expect according to the booklet.
1. Nausea... Check
2. Fatigue...Check
3. Constipation....Check
4. Backache...Check
5. Lower abdominal pain...Check
6. Indigestion...Check
7. Swelling....Check (here is some proof of that)
This may not look bad to you, but my feet have always been the one thing that I liked about myself. Even that has now been taken away from me. In reality this picture was taken after Justin and I had been on the road all week with interviews and then on my feet for 2 days while in New Bern, NC. They have since returned to there almost normal state, which I am very grateful for!!
That is 70% success rate of things that I have been able to experience with my Hazel so far. Some things things that I might have to look forward to...
1. Headaches
2. Varicose Veins
3. Something else that I will leave out.. love you dad!
I really do feel great most days!! So the great days and not so great days all leads me to being thankful that so far I seem to be having a very normal pregnancy and that she is growing according to schedule.
According to our Ultrasound she weighs about 1 lbs 15 oz. Everything is right on target. I go back in two weeks for another one, because she was so curled up they couldn't see her heart very well. We are looking forward to seeing her again other then the motions that my tummy makes when she moves. ( She freezes almost every time we put our hands on my tummy to feel her, so we just watch her instead)
We love you Hazel and can't wait to meet you in person!!
Oh, and congrats to my friends Casey and Mark who after several years of trying welcomed a new baby boy into there family recently. I am so excited for them and know that they will be 2 really fun parents and the Little Mark is one lucky kid to have them. Love you guys!!!
Nancy, that picture of your feet cracks me up!! Only because it is so strangely refreshing when we know that our friends experience some of the same things we do during pregnancy. And I'm so glad the swelling has gone down. I used to think that "staying off my feet" wouldn't really help that much b/c my feet were SO SWOLLEN w/ Brooklyn. But, now that I'm able to sit a little more (well, in theory anyway) with Belle and Madeline, my feet hardly swell at all! Usually just towards the end of the day. You look GREAT in your photo! I can't wait for the day when you're posting pictures of and blogging about Hazel! :) It will be sooooo soon! I still can't believe our little ones will be here in like 2 1/2 months. CRAZY! I saw somewhere that you're coming back to FL the end of October. Please call me so we can get together if you have a minute. Love you guys so much, and I just love hearing about your growing family!!
ReplyDeleteNancy, The more I sat, the more swollen I got. I either had to be reclined with my "kankles" in the air or up walking around to help my circulation. Today I looked down and noticed my ankles...WOW, they're back! It might take a few days but they will return! Can't wait to see you in a few weeks. I'll have to bring my little dude with me, hope that's ok! Thank you so much for the shout out. We couldn't be happier...except for the whole cutting and ripping him out of my stomach. But still not so bad, he's here and that's all that matters! I love you Nancy and can't wait to celebrate your little Hazel.

But you forget all that when that little angel is put in your arms. How do you think we have 4? Heavenly Father gave us the great gift of amnesia. Totally spelled wrong but hopefully you know what that means. We miss you guys 4-real. can't wait to see you later in the month and we can get our two little old ladies closer together.
